Hey, Dave.

Thanks. Not having a Cranky Ranter category was a major oversight in my book. Nice awards coverage, and congrats on the Rubber Chicken Award nomination and finalist status.

Thanks for the vote! It is good to see that there are more people jumping into more technical aspects of search.

A toast, to a fine 2008.

Congrats there B, glad yer having some 'fun'. I was looking for the 'Cranky Ranter' category and just couldn't find one anywhere. Like yourself I tend to veer away from the 'regurgitated' news stories that make the rounds in the Blog-o-Shere and as such likely have a more segmented readership. On that note, it seems we both covered the awards season (my own skewed approach as always). Though I have been reading SBS since aught-six this year was particularly enjoyable as we got to play together now and again.

Needless to say you have my Vote in the often droll world of technical search, but it is nice to see more and more blogs that delve into the stickier areas. I look forward to more of the same in 2008. There was plenty to work with this year and next should be just as exciting.

Thanks for all the late night fun!
